Skala Prinos is home to the second ferry port on the island, and it connects the island of Thassos to the city of Kavala on Greece’s mainland. It is in the northwestern part of the island and its distance from Limenas is 14km.
Skala Prinos beach is easily accessible with a great length making it advantageous for long walks. The region is well known about its pine forest which is called Dasillio.
Dasilio beach is several kilometers long and is located left of port in Skala Prinos. It is mostly sandy and it is ideal for children and swimmers.
Dasilio is great also for cycling and walking because of the shade created by many pines, with benches along the beach.
