Potos is a bustling seaside village on the sunny south side of Thassos and offers the best of all worlds. There are several ways to enjoy the interior of Thassos – an organised jeep excursion (‘safari’), hiking and there are even some organised mountain bike tours.

Potos is only 3 kilometres from Limenaria the second largest town on the island after the capital Limenas, also known as Thassos Town. Remarkable places on the south side of the island are the monastery of Archangel Michael, the archeological site of Aliki and a great deal of beaches like the stunning white-sand beach of Psili Ammos where the party never stops, the more relaxing one of Salonikios and the wonderful lagoon of Giola.
